The City has unveiled a new website dedicated to Economic Development efforts. New Boston Street Bridge Construction Underway
|
After years of planning, construction has begun on a new bridge to connect New Boston Street. The two sections of the street have been disconnected since a fire burned down the bridge in the 1970s. The new bridge will provide additional highway access for the area, connect the New Boston Street Area to the Anderson/Woburn RTC, and will help alleviate congestion.

Woburn joins the Middlesex 3 Coalition
|
The City of Woburn has officially become a member of the Middlesex 3 Coalition. M3 is a regional economic development organization representing communities located along the U.S. Route 3. M3 is committed to fostering economic development, job growth and retention, diversifying the tax base, and enhancing the quality of life for our residents. As a member, the City has access to all of the resources that M3 provides.

Mass Development Program to help Small Businesses

Mass Development has unveiled a new program that aims to help spur investment in small businesses. Through loans and guarantees, the State Small Business Credit Initiative hopes to help historically disadvantaged small business owners grow their business and build generational wealth.

Grant available for Hotels and Motels
|
The Mass Growth Capital Corporation is offering a grant program to offer assistance to hotels and motels that were negatively affected by the pandemic. Grant applications are due by July 14th.

New City Street Map Available
|
The Engineering Department has released an updated street map of the City. You can pick up a paper copy of the map in City Hall or download an online version!

Woburn drone maker aims to replace the crop duster

The Boston Globe recently highlighted the recent successes of Guardian Agriculture, a Woburn based robotics company that uses drone technology to treat crops. The company has raised $20 million to expand their company.
